Mike

Wednesdays 4pm-6pm

Hometown:
Seminole, Oklahoma
Major:
Radio Broadcasting
How I Met Radio 1190:
I got hired to be the general manager
First Album Purchased:
Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits and A Hard Day's Night on the same trip. 3.98 apiece, I was broke after that
First Concert:
The Who, 1966. Wait a minute, I think I saw the Beach Boys two years before that.
Favorite Concert:

Jimi Hendrix, May 1970. But then I have also seen Jefferson Airplane, Carlos Montoya, Bobby McFerrin, Van Morrison, The Byrds, Country Joe and the Fish, Dave Brubeck, Dexter Gordon, Dizzy Gillespie, Spirit, Joni Mitchell, Marianne Faithfull, and hell, even the Jackson Five. With Michael.

Most Desperately Desired Musical Reunion:
I'm sure there's one there, but reunions never work. The spark is when they are together. Nothing lasts forever, and great bands never recapture the original hunger, the original power, the drive of the moment that brought them together the first time.
Recommended Media:

Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me by Richard Farina / Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesey / Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon / Anything by Kurt Vonnegut / A Coney Island of the Mind by Lawrence Ferlenghetti
