Your Chance to go to Bonnaroo!

We're happy to get involved on such great festivals this summer!

Bonnaroo will take place on June 7th through 10th in Manchester, Tennessee and Radio 1190 is here with the opportunity for one lucky winner to win TWO PASSES to all three days!

Here's what you need to do: tune in!

At 3:30PM every day this week, Gracie and Hannah will be featuring a song from an artist in the line-up. Keep track of the tunes (song title and artist) played for each of the five days and you could win! They will be also posting the track to our Facebook page, but it will only be visible until 4PM each day, so make sure you're paying attention!

The first person to call in after the last track on Friday (after 3:30PM) who can name all five songs will win the two passes to the festival and be broadcast live on air!

CD of the Month for May: Dr. John's "Locked Down"

Dr. John is back with another exceptional record, the aply titled Locked Down, a well-rounded effort synthesizing the many styles of the legendary artist. Though the album has an undeniably modern sound, it still possesses that classic swamp-rock funk that Dr. John is known for.

Dr. John has been active in the music industry since the late '50s when the teenager was still known as Mac Rebennack. The musician made a name for himself in the late '60s with his persona "Night Tripper".

But after a move to L.A. in 1968, the musician Rebennack transformed into Dr. John. He's famous for recording a series of albums noteworthy for seemlessly weaving swampy voodoo rock, funk, R&B, psych rock and Creole roots music.

And Dr. John's still got it. Working with The Black Keys' guitarist Dan Auerbach, John's new album seems cared-for, but still has an edge that can be attributed to the funky swamp-rock and jazz piano-influenced R&B he knows so well. He smoothly combines the sounds of Tom Waits, Cab Calloway and Charles Bradley into something you'd want to, well, boogie to.
